Friday will be a school holiday in observance of Good Friday and the beginning of the Easter weekend.  Please enjoy your Easter holiday and we will see you back here on Tuesday, April 23rd.

STAAR Assessments Tuesday and Wednesday

The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, will begin this week. On Tuesday, April 9th, our 4th grade will participate in the Writing STAAR, and our 5th grade will take the STAAR Math assessment. On Wednesday, April 10th, our 5th grade will complete the STAAR Reading assessment.

  • Plan to bring your lunch from home that morning or purchase your lunch from the cafeteria on these two testing days. Food brought in for lunch will not be allowed for any grade level on testing days. VISITORS for lunch will not be permitted on campus on April 9th and 10th.

We are proud of our Intermediate students and know that they are ready to show what they can do. Let’s stand behind them and show our support.

Survey for Parents of PPCD and Pre-K Students

The Texas Early Learning Council is in the process of conducting a statewide birth to five needs assessment to better understand the needs of those accessing, providing, and supporting early childhood programs for children age birth to five. As part of this needs assessment, the Council is surveying families, community partners, and early childhood programs and services (including public prekindergarten and PPCD programs). The survey will be open March 25, 2019 through April 5, 2019.

In order to ensure that families across the state have an opportunity to share their experiences, local education agencies are encouraged to distribute the survey to families with students enrolled in prekindergarten or receiving PPCD services as well as teachers, administrators, and support staff of prekindergarten and PPCD programs.

If you have questions, please contact Cody Summerville in the Early Childhood Education Division at [email protected]gov.
