Book Donations to Van, TX

FullSizeRender

As you have heard in the news, J.E. Rhodes Elementary School in Van, Texas, recently received extensive damage to their school.  We would like to show an act of kindness Roughneck style by donating books to the Van school library purchased from our school book fair that is underway Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

There are several ways to participate:

  • You can buy and donate a book. A sticker (pictured above) will be placed in the front of the book with the name of your child.
  • You may send a monetary donation and we will purchase books from the book fair with the money received.
  • Your child can buy a book and donate any change received. This money will be combined with any other monetary donations received.

Thank you for any donations you can give to J.E. Rhodes Elementary school!

Reading Contest Winners

Congratulations to the winners of this year’s reading contest! 1st and 2nd graders were able to enter one ticket for every night that they read. Last Friday, the winners were determined by drawing at the CHAMPs assembly.  Thank you so much Knights of Pythias for again sponsoring this reading contest and donating the winners’ bicycles!
