The Remarkable Roughnecks for the Month of February are C. Thompson and A. Moulton. Teachers may submit names throughout the month of our intermediate Roughnecks who are observed exhibiting remarkable behavior. There will be an after-school archery practice today at 4 pm in the Old Middle School gym. Archers will view the safety video and get their t-shirts, and we will double-check all equipment. Jr. High archery students who are also participating in track will view the video and get their shirts during their enrichment time today and will not need to attend. Parent shirts are available at the Administration building. Parents may pick them up at any time or get them at the practice/meeting today at 4 pm. FYI-The bus leaves on Wednesday morning at 8 am. White Oak Primary and Intermediate schools are now accepting referrals for 1st through 5th grade students who may need Gifted/Talented Services for this school year. The program is designed for students who exhibit intellectual and creative thinking abilities at an extraordinary level not normally served in the regular classroom. Services are provided only upon identification of educational needs of the student. Anyone wishing to refer a student attending White Oak ISD may use the referral form attached to the blog post, or may go by the Primary office or Intermediate office and request a copy of the referral form. Those unable to go by the school or to access and print out the document should call Ashley McClanahan at 903-291-2182 to request a form to be sent to them. If a child has already tested this school year, they may retest next school year. Forms are due to the primary or intermediate office by Friday, March 4th, 2022.
